For footwear enthusiasts who prize craftsmanship, EMU boots are a boot lover’s dream.
In 1994, Andrew Raggert, a veteran of the footwear and sheepskin industry, founded EMU (pronounced “eem-you”). The company is based in Geelong, Australia (commonly referred to as the “wool capital of the world”) with a second home in San Clemente, CA. From all accounts, the company is very involved in all phases of shoe and boot production, beginning with the sourcing and then tanning, and finally, manufacturing. They’ve adopted the motto and want the world to believe that they make the "world’s most comfortable boots."
EMU fans will find the brand name distributed all over the world.
While some people will see EMU boots and immediately compare them to a brand like Uggs, EMU is its own brand. EMU boots contain a 100% Australian Merino wool lining. Anyone who knows wool knows that Merino is one of the softest, most prized varieties and wool has unique insulating properties that will help keep the boot wearer’s feet warm in even the coldest weather. The boots can be found in a variety of styles and colors, including: Black,Brown,Tan,Pink and Camouflage
As with Uggs, these boots can be a love it or hate it fashion, but for EMU boots fans, they can’t get enough of their ultra soft styles.
